What fine people we are!

Penalties are important because they remind us how bad it is to commit an offence like littering. Most people don't like penalties but they actually help people learn the seriousness of an offence, especially kids.

Although we are not a "free of offence" country, we can do our part to help other people. When a person, spits or litters, we can remind him/her the punishment he/she can get. Then, the person will immediately know what to do and will never commit the offence again.

HI!

Today's topic is about Ps and Cs (Phrases and Clauses)

First, i would like to talk something about attributes.
What makes a hat a hat? The answer can be found by listing all the attributes of all hats and finding similar attributes. These attributes are called essential attributes. They are important because they differentiate hats from other things.

Second, Pharses have essential attributes too. They don't have a subject, is part of a predicate, and is part of a sentence.Clauses do have essential attribues too. They are an idea of a sentence, and of course, they are part of a sentence.

Code-switching in English.

I heard the sentence in class "One found the need to learn code-switching the most difficult."

Code-switching is the switching between SSE(Standard Singapore English) and SCE(Singapore Colloquial English) in a paticular person.
SCE may also be called singlish.

I think code-switching is important because some people will know more SSE than others. For example, you should use SCE when talking to the man in a hawker centre. But you should use SSE when talking to the principle because it's more polite to do that.

We just had a new science topic last month! It's all about cells. Cells are the basic unit of life. You are made of cells. There are many types of cells in your body. But we are going to explore inside the cell. Both plant and animal cells. The things we are going to explore inside the cell are:

Nucleus, nucleous, DNA, nuclear membrane, cytoplasm, mitochondrion, vacuole, lysosomes, smooth and rough endoplasmic reticulum (ER), ribosomes, cell or plasma membrane.

If you have any questions about this, ask your parents or your science teachers. They will surely know about this.

I am also doing a project on cells. I won't tell you about that, but it's amazing.

If you have a microscope, you can take off one part of your cheek or onion skin and analyse both of them. Note: Don't ever buy an electron microscope!

My friends

I have several friends. But unfortunately, I'm only going to introduce two.

Cheng Jue Fei
How we got to know each other is just a guess. Maybe he has the same hobbies as me. I spotted it during my maths class. Or maybe we got to know each other once he introduced himself to me. I'm still thinking about it today. What Do you think?

Ong Sean

I spotted him in the science centre while we were on a camp. Science centre holds many camps in the holidays. He told me that he was from Catholic High. I was truly amazed. I introduced myself and that's probably how we became friends. We even became teammates in the camp.

HOBBIES

Hey there! Nice to meet you.

Today i'm going talk about my own personal hobbies.

For education, I like maths, science, and astronomy. I do not like the other subjects because they involve communication. However, Ms Rita tells me that i still have the potential to do it.

For sports, I like soccer, during the June holidays, I played soccer with my sister. And of course, I liked it. But I always won this game.

I also like Captain's ball. But i do get a little frustrated when someone does not pass to me the ball very often. I only got one chance to pass the ball to my teammates. But I really have no choice. I'll just have to bear it.

That's all for it!
Any questions?

MY LIFE

I was born in 20 Nov 1996 at NUH (National University Hospital) When I posted this, i was in Pri 4. I'm in the GEP (Gifted Education Programme). Actually, i do not like to say the previous sentence because I do not wish to be proud. My family always teach me various subjects like English. I'm just happy to be part of a family and in the GEP. Who knows what will happen next?
